About the project
Development of an information portal for the city of Kyiv
The project was aimed at creating a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing web resource that meets the high expectations of both residents and visitors of the capital. The main goal was to bring together all the necessary information about Kyiv in one place and provide convenient access to it, depending on the user's needs.
The full development cycle and project launch were completed within 3 months.
Functionality:
We created an interface that adapts to usage conditions: the design changes according to the time of day in Kyiv. The intuitive design allows users to quickly find information about leisure activities, transportation, cultural events, and the weather forecast.
Information architecture:
The main page of the portal is organized to help users quickly find the necessary information across the following key categories:
- Museums, exhibitions, theaters, and other cultural locations.
- Hotels, hostels, and other accommodation options.
- Listings of concerts, conferences, and other events.
- Routes for walking tours, shopping, and leisure activities.
- Weather forecast and current exchange rates.
Design and usability
The platform’s main screen changes its visual concept depending on the time of day and displays automatically updated widgets for weather and exchange rates. An interactive map of hotels has been implemented with the ability to determine the nearest locations based on the user’s geolocation. There is also a tour store with segmentation by target audiences and an online purchase function.
The platform is designed and launched using the Laravel, Vue 3, and PostgreSQL technology stack.
